A very warm welcome to our group of Methodist Churches in central, south and east Herefordshire!

Our Circuit stretches from Bromyard in the north, to Ross-on-Wye in the south, to Ledbury in the east and includes the city of Hereford.

If you are visiting our beautiful county or are fortunate enough to be living or planning to move into the area we would be delighted to meet you at any of our services or other church activities.

There are five churches in the Circuit and you can find out  about them all on this website.

Our Circuit is in the Birmingham District of the Methodist Church.

Please be aware that Herefordshire Council charges for parking in its  car parks on Sundays, including Sunday evenings and that restrictions on street parking apply.

At a Circuit Service held on September 16th Mr Stephen Moore was admitted as a Local Preacher in the Methodist Church. During the service Stephen Chowns and Meryl Bedford were each presented with certificates marking their 50 years of service as Local Preachers. A certificate was received by Glenda Young on behalf of Eileen Davies marking 62 years of service. Here are are some pictures of this moving and joyful occasion.

All the Churches in our Circuit are Fair Trade Churches.

As Methodists we believe that we are called

    • to increase awareness of God's presence and to celebrate God's love in our local communities

    • to help people to grow and learn as Christians through mutual support and care

    • to be good neighbours to people in need wherever they are in the world and to challenge injustice wherever it occurs

    • to make more followers of Jesus Christ.

Our Circuit Mission Statement

The Herefordshire (South and East) Methodist Circuit
ensures a continuing Methodist Church presence in Central, East and South Herefordshire and inspires, supports, encourages and resources the Methodist societies which represent that presence in their local communities.

It seeks to engage and work with Christians of other denominations wherever possible to present the Gospel of Christ and to further the Kingdom of God in our own communities and in the wider world

It recognises that the Methodist Church of the past may not be the Methodist Church of the future and seeks to explore new ways of representing Christ in our world.
