Soul Space
Welcome to Soul Space a new activity session for 9 to 12 year olds (School Years 5-7), brought to you by Herefordshire (S&E) Methodist Circuit and The Diocese of Hereford working together, using Bromyard Methodist Church's premises.
Listening to the presentation “Bromyard Youth Voices: a rural community at a crossroads” and the requests of the 9-12 year olds to have a regular, free, central club, led by professional youth workers for young people 9-12, Bromyard Methodists and the Hereford Diocese have partnered to create a session called "Soul Space". The name was chosen by a small group of 9-12 year olds from St Peter's School.
Soul Space will run at Bromyard Methodist Church on Thursdays during term time from 4:30pm to 6pm.
Bromyard Methodist Church is on New Road, opposite the Fire Station
The Hall will be set up with tables, allowing space for:-
- Craft
- Homework
- Games
- Lego
In the middle of the session, we will pause for a snack and a drink and a reflective moment (about 20 minutes). As we are a faith space this will have a Christian input, however we are not proselytising, and young people of all faiths and none are welcome.
As we are averaging 11-15 young people per night, we are not currently needing you to book, however, please fill in a consent form before bringing your young person, or ask for a paper one when you arrive. There are 20 spaces each evening.

Soul Space is a project that is part of the ministry of Bromyard Methodist Church. There is no charge to attend, and this is because, one of the major asks in the “Bromyard Youth Voices: a rural community at a crossroads” was for free things for the young people to attend. Soul Space is staffed by the Ministry team, Hereford Diocesan Youth Hub, and church volunteers. (Methodists, Roman Catholics and Anglicans). We have had some funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner. We will seek other grants, but if and only if you can afford to give a little to say thank you, then it would be appreciated. We are using givealittle as it keeps your donations anonymous, and the helpers will not know who has given and who hasn't. Please do not worry if you cannot afford anything, take it as our gift to you.
