A Year of Prayer
The Methodist Conference has declared 2020/2021 a year of prayer so that our Church-wide commitments to evangelism, church growth, church at the margins, and pioneering and church planting will flow from a deep, contemplative orientation to God’s grace and love.

Angie's COVID-19 Prayer
God of all grace, we come before you in confusion and uncertainty, perhaps not knowing what to pray, perhaps wondering whether even to pray.
But you promise never to leave us and that nothing can separate us from your love.
As we look to rest on those promises and the promise that the Sprit can intercede for us when we don’t know how to pray, we hold before you this world which you have made and love.
We pray for all affected by the Coronavirus, all those who are ill and all those who are afraid.
May they know your healing presence.
We pray for protection for all treating the sick, and pray for a breakthrough for those looking for solutions.
We pray for wisdom for all in positions of authority as they seek to make decisions to keep people safe.
We pray for those for whom self-isolation is difficult, either practically or psychologically, and for families struggling to keep children entertained.
As tensions rise, we pray for calm.
We thank you for the community spirit being shown at this time, and pray that enough people will stay well to support others.
God of hope, who works all things together for good, we ask these prayers in Jesus’ name. Amen.
