Soul Space News 15th October 2026

Tonight is our last night for this half term, we are having two weeks off for half term, and returning on the 5th November.

The Last Few Weeks

We've had some amazing evenings, and your young people are wonderful! We've played massive games of Hide & Seek, Laser Quest, Sardines, Mazes, Human Pac Man, and last week we did a "Night of the Church".

They even voted for the new Methodist Youth President – we don't know who was successful yet, but will let you know as soon as it is announced.

As you know we always have a 5 minute spiritual slot, and we had been asked "Why do we have to do this 'religious' stuff?" So during the "Night of the Church", we gently explained what church is for us – a gathering of people, who want everyone to know that they are loved. We made churches out of cardboard, lego, designed our ideal church on paper, and earned some Haribo! Ask them if they remember the 2 greek words for the word, and god, and see if they can remember the word for "Talking about God, or words about God" – Free Haribo to any that remember!

15/10/26 - New Sports Equipment

We've had a delivery of new sports equipment, and hope to try some of it out. As usual there will be the normal, chill & eat, crafts and games. Also we've been thinking about whether the young people want their own "President". Allyson is also doing some cooking with our Young People – Iona Cookies

Soul Space Plus

We haven't forgotten about Soul Space Plus for our older senior school children. We are onboarding our new CYP Worker at the beginning of November, and then will start planning with the young people as to how it will look going forward.

3Generate

We didn't manage 3Generate this year, as by the time we returned in September it was sold out! 1800 young people present. some of the Ledbury young people that ours met at Amplify were able to go. Here is the highlights video.

Amplify 2027

Amplify 2027 will be on us soon. We will get grants to cover the costs of the tickets, and just ask £15 to cover transport.

What is Amplify - Amplify is a weekend away for children and young people aged 8-18 who are connected to Methodist Churches in the West Midlands Methodist District. You might attend church regularly, be part of a youth club or brigade or have links in another way. All are welcome.

Soul Space is a project that is part of the ministry of Bromyard Methodist Church. There is no charge to attend, and this is because, one of the major asks in the “Bromyard Youth Voices: a rural community at a crossroads” was for free things for the young people to attend. Soul Space is staffed by the Ministry team, Hereford Diocesan Youth Hub, and church volunteers. (Methodists, Roman Catholics and Anglicans). We have had some funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner. We will seek other grants, but if and only if you can afford to give a little to say thank you, then it would be appreciated. We are using givealittle as it keeps your donations anonymous, and the helpers will not know who has given and who hasn't. Please do not worry if you cannot afford anything, take it as our gift to you.
