Eco-Church

Herefordshire (South and East) Methodist Circuit is working towards becoming an eco-circuit. Eco Church is a Rocha UK award scheme for churches in England and Wales who want to demonstrate that the gospel is good news for God's earth. Rocha UK is a Christian charity working to protect and restore the natural world and committed to equipping Christians and churches in the UK to care for the environment.

The church in Ledbury has already attained the gold award, Hereford the silver and Bromyard the bronze award. There are active plans to place solar plans on the roofs of the church buildings. Each of the churches engages in number of environmentally friendly activities on a regular basis such as periodic litter picking in the towns and a new public gardening project.
