We're pleased to offer a range of rooms and spaces available for hire at St John's Methodist Church. While our facilities are regularly used by church groups and activities, we welcome enquiries from local community groups and organisations.

Please note: In accordance with Methodist Church policy, the use of alcohol is not permitted on the premises under any circumstances.
Available Spaces
The Church
A beautiful and spacious venue ideal for concerts, talks, and large gatherings.
- Capacity: 200 (including gallery)
- Rates:
- £100 for a full evening concert
- £47 for a lunchtime concert
- £30 per hour for rehearsals
Lower Hall
A flexible room for meetings, community events, and group sessions.
- Capacity: Up to 100
- Rate: £15 per hour (£7 for part hours)
Please note: stage use not included in standard hire
Kitchen
Adjoining the Lower Hall, our kitchen is well-equipped and available as an add-on to your booking.
- Rates:
- £20 when preparing meals
- £6 when serving drinks only
- Capacity: Flexible (40 chairs available)
- Rate: £12 per hour (£6 per half-hour)
Please note: Access is by stairs only; this space is not wheelchair accessible.
The Foyer
A smaller, informal space opening directly onto St Owen Street--perfect for small gatherings or drop-in sessions.
- Capacity: 15-20
- Rate: £8 per hour
Accessibility
All rooms have disabled access except the Upper Hall, which is accessed via stairs.
