Welcome to Christ Church
Edde Cross Street, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7BZ

Following government advice, Christ Church will be closed until further notice.

During this time of Coronavirus Covid-19 Social Distancing please keep in touch with our CONNECT page.

(A Methodist - United Reformed Church Local Ecumenical Partnership)

In light of the current situation with coronavirus, we have reluctantly decided to close our meetings from this Wednesday March 18th until after Easter, April 15th.
But we will probably need to extend that further, as government advice changes.
This also means that our Open Day on March 25th is postponed until further notice.

Anne has won the Hereford Times Dementia Carer Award for her work at the Meeting Centre.

Anne said

'Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last couple of years since the Meeting Centre opened. Also to the volunteers and carers who nominated me for this award. I am truly overwhelmed by everyone's good wishes.

I am only one of a great team and a lovely bunch of people who come each week to the Centre. We have great fun together, as well as supporting those who live with dementia and care for their loved ones who are on that journey.
My hope is that the publicity around this award will make the Ross Meeting Centre known to a wider community.'

Visit to The Orchard Trust - 18 of us went to the Orchard Trust, near Lydbrook last week and had a good day out. Pat provided a super picnic lunch and we had lovely weather so were able to make the most of all the things to see and do - petting and feeding the pygmy goats, sheep guinea pigs, rabbits and pig; visiting the sensory garden and playing on the adult accessible playground!!   You can see some super photographs here.

'Faith in Action in our Communities' is the theme for an event at the Bishop's Palace on October 24th before the Bishop leaves the diocese. This is an ecumenical event for the whole of Herefordshire and South Shropshire and we have been invited to talk about the Meeting Centre as one of 6 projects featured. What an honour!

Minister: Revd. Phillip Warrey

Our Mission Satement

“Our mission, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is to make the good news about Jesus known, to enable people to grow in their faith, to serve our local community, to stand against injustice and to look after God’s wonderful creation”.

Situated in the heart of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Beauty we are known for our warm welcome and desire for people to feel at home.

Being a Local Ecumenical Project with the United Reformed Church adds another dimension to our thinking, experiences, and worship.  We are an active member of Churches Together in Ross & District and our 2 house groups that meet for Bible study & prayer are ecumenical.

Part of our outreach is to those older folk who live alone for whom we provide a monthly lunch and companionship. We also regularly welcome visitors from a local hotel, Merton House, which caters for people with disabilities.
