House Groups

House Groups form a very important part of our fellowship at St. John's with nearly half our members regularly attending one.

We have seven different House Groups of all shapes and sizes each having their own styles and traditions. Some follow a programme of study over a period while others are less formal and vary their topics from meeting to meeting. Some have only a few members,  others sometimes have difficulty in finding enough chairs for everyone.

All of our House Groups are always glad to see new faces, even if sometimes a living room can get a bit full !!  They are all ready to welcome both visitors and new members and you don't even have to go to St John's to belong to one.

We are working on ways to make our house groups even more effective and exploring ways in which they may contribute to our Sunday worship. In March we held a service to celebrate our House Groups hearing something about our history, what we do now and our hopes for the future.

Please use our Contact Us page to be put in touch with a House Group Leader.

A year or two ago some members of our House Groups hired two day boats from Goytre Wharf on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.  While we didn't see a lot of sun, we didn't see any rain either and we enjoyed our day "messing around in boats". (Mind you, some of the steering was rubbish)
